Developments At Canaan Land

The grounds of the National Service Centre of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria are now a semblance of a construction site, with ongoing projects being undertaken by the National Service of Communion and financed by anonymous members of the CCRN.

We had reported on the foundation laying for the construction of a 50-room guest house to make accommodation available for members of the CCRN in addition to the existing Master Is Here Guest house, built by Dr. Obiorah Chukwu, which was commissioned and it has been in use since 2022.

Another ongoing project is the construction of 50 rooms, toilets, and bathrooms at the National Service Centre. The financier of the project is another member of the CCRN who does not want his name to be mentioned. The foundation for the toilets was laid on 7th October 2023.

The project is made up of 25 toilets and 25 bathrooms. It is being constructed through direct labour; the Service Centre Development Commission buys the materials, pays for labour, and also pays the engineer for supervision. The work progresses as the sponsor releases the funds.

It is hoped that the projects, new guest house and toilets, and bathrooms would be completed and ease the problems of accommodation and conveniences during the 2026 National conference at Ubulu Uku, Delta State.
