By Matthews Otalike / November 18, 2025
The skyline of the National Service Centre Ubulu Uku, Delta State continues to change with the emergence of new structures as individual members of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria are taking bold steps to upgrade the Canaan Land.

A new forty-two-room guest house is currently being constructed at the National Service Centre, Ubulu Uku, Delta State. When completed, it will reduce the pressure on members of the CCRN who have to seek accommodation outside the Service Centre when they come for programmes.

The foundation for the new structure was laid this week to flag off construction after the Retreat Director at the Centre, Very Reverend Father Alphonsus Ozoemena OP blessed the site. He was assisted by the Director of the Centre, Brother Okechukwu Aneke. The exciting ceremony was witnessed by the National Coordinator of the CCRN, Brother Celestine Ugwu, and some members of the National Service Centre Development Commission.

The new guest house is being constructed by an anonymous donor. The offer was announced at the last meeting of the NEC/NSC, the site was shown to the donor and the construction began in November.
It is hoped that God blesses more persons to offer to help develop Canaan Land, the national headquarters of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Nigeria, CCRN. The first such gift at the Centre is the 50-room Master is Here guest house, built and donated to the CCRN by Dr. Obiora Chukwuka, a philanthropic member of the CCRN based in Lagos.
